M&J Atlanta Collects Items & Volunteers with The Clothes Closet Project

For the past month, M&J’s Atlanta office has been collecting items for a project called “The Clothes Closet.” The office collected new undergarments, lightly used clothing, and roughly $1,150 in monetary donations to contribute to this event. A huge shoutout to the group of volunteers, led by our Community Service Coordinator, Katie Smith, who dedicated their Saturday morning to help set up and organize items for the event. Thanks to Eddie Dung, Allison Moore, Katie Tindol, Jenna Huggins, Mallory McCraken, Mackie Reynolds, Tim Lyons, Brittney Pye, Brandon Smith for all your hard work!!

The Clothes Closet is Saturday, November 4 and organized by First Baptist Chattahoochee. The purpose of  the event is to collect donations and set up a store for under-resourced residents in the community to “shop.” Each person will be given vouchers for the number of items they are allowed to take from the store and are given the opportunity to “purchase” the items they need or wanted, giving them a full shopping experience!
