Larry B. Gilley, CPA is a partner at Mauldin & Jenkins and a Certified Public Accountant.  Before Mauldin & Jenkins, he was an associate and shareholder with MDG Professional Group, P.C., and a member of the firm’s Board of Directors. He also serves as a member of the firm’s tax committee and coordinator of tax efforts.

 

Before joining MDG Larry spent seven years with Ernst & Whinney and forty years with the Huntsville, Alabama office of MDA Professional Group, P.C., beginning in the audit area and later moving to the tax department. Today Larry specializes in taxation, with an emphasis in tax planning for closely-held businesses, and individual tax and estate planning. Over the years, Larry has developed solid relationships with his clients and is able to provide well-rounded tax advice that is specific to their current and projected future financial conditions.

 

Active in the accounting profession, Larry is a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), the Alabama Society of CPAs (ASCPA), and is a past chairman of the Huntsville Chapter of CPAs.

 

Larry is a graduate of Auburn University. He and his wife Frances have two children, four grandchildren, and are members of Whitesburg Baptist Church in Huntsville, Alabama.
