CSLFRF Recipients: Treasury Extends Reporting Deadline

The United States Department of Treasury (Treasury) has extended the reporting deadline for the Project & Expenditures Report for all recipients of the Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund (CSLFRF).

  • States, Metropolitan Cities, Counties, Territories, and Tribal Governments will now report on January 31, 2022, instead of October 31, 2021.
  • The first reporting deadline for NonEntitlement Units (NEUs) will be April 30, 2022, instead of October 31, 2021.
  • States have been sent a draft letter regarding the change by the Treasury, which can be used to notify their NEUs.

Additional updates to existing guidance will be released at a later date.

Governments are continuing to face challenges navigating the pandemic coupled with the “strings” attached to additional appropriations. Should you have any questions regarding CSLFRF, or other accounting and auditing topics, please reach out to your M&J professional for assistance.
