Mauldin & Jenkins, Formerly LaPorte, Named one of the Capital Region’s Best Places to Work

BATON ROUGE- Mauldin & Jenkins, formerly LaPorte CPAs and Business Advisors, is pleased to share that it has been named one of the Capital Region’s Best Places to Work by the Greater Baton Rouge Business Report. The firm ranked No. 5 among large companies and No. 7 overall in this year’s program. The award proudly builds on the Baton Rouge office’s history as a Best Places to Work recipient and marks an exciting first under the Mauldin & Jenkins name.

“Being recognized as one of the Capital Region’s Best Places to Work means a great deal to our team, especially during our first year as part of Mauldin & Jenkins,” said Wendi Berthelot, Partner. “Our people consistently tell us that flexibility and genuine support from their colleagues are what make this a place they want to build their careers. This recognition reflects the culture we’ve built together, and we’re proud to carry it forward into this next chapter.”

Mauldin & Jenkins’ professionals benefit from flexible workplace practices, including hybrid and remote work options and discretionary paid time off, as well as continuing professional education, leadership and business development training, and mentorship from experienced firm leaders. Together, these resources help employees build confidence, strengthen their skills, and pursue meaningful, lasting careers with the firm.

The annual Best Places to Work program recognizes employers across Louisiana’s nine-parish Capital Region. Companies are selected through a survey administered by Workforce Research Group that evaluates workplace policies and practices alongside confidential employee feedback.

This year’s recipients were celebrated during the Best Places to Work Awards on Tuesday, October 6, at the Crowne Plaza Executive Center.
