Atlanta, GA, June 21, 2019– Mauldin & Jenkins was honored to be able to host a Field Day for the James T. Anderson Boys and Girls Club in Marietta on Friday, June 14TH. The day consisted of sports, tug of war, and even a water balloon fight. Mauldin & Jenkins, LLC, a trusted CPA firm with eight offices located around the Southeast, is committed to serving our surrounding communities. Each M&J office has a Community Service Leader who arranges a project each quarter. Katie Smith, Atlanta office leader, worked with James T. Anderson Boys & Girls Club on all the event details to ensure it was fun for all.
The James T. Anderson Boys & Girls Club works with hundreds of kids and teens each year to help them reach their full potential. They provide an environment where all youth feel safe and secure to dream, discover, and develop. Their programs focus on helping kids succeed in school, live healthy, and become leaders.
“It was a beautiful day, a perfect day to be outside with kids – giving them, us, and their teachers a break with great weather”, commented Steve Byrnes, CPA, Partner at Mauldin & Jenkins. “The evening after the event, I saw three of the children on the Marietta Square (for “Juneteenth”) with their mom, still sporting their ‘rub on’ tattoos. I asked them where they got them and they looked at me and laughed, as I still had one on my face, too. They said they had a fun day.”
