Prior to rejoining the firm in 2025, Ashton served as SOX Lead and Treasury Manager for a Fortune 500 chemical company, where he led Sarbanes-Oxley compliance efforts and treasury operations. This dual background enables him to understand both the auditor’s perspective and the operational realities clients face. His core focus areas include IT audit and governance programs, financial statement audit support, IT general controls (ITGCs) and application controls, and SOX 404 compliance and readiness.

Ashton is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and he maintains active membership in the AICPA and ISACA.
