Darren Shuster, CIA, is a Director with Mauldin & Jenkins in the Firm’s Financial Institutions Practice. With over 11 years of experience, Darren has expertise in leading and developing FDICIA and SOX implementation and execution services, internal audit plans and strategy, risk assessments, and internal control assessments. He has worked with organizations including de novo financial institutions, community banks, regional and large financial institutions, credit unions, financial technology companies, and publicly held financial institutions with SEC reporting requirements.

Darren is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and facilitates internal audit training for national and regional state banking associations across the country.
