Jay has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, where he has gained extensive knowledge in Risk Management, Commercial Lending, SBA Compliance, and has performed billions of dollars in annual commercial credit reviews for Community and Regional Institutions.  His teams have performed multiple credit due-diligence projects and has assisted in hundreds of millions of dollars in mergers and acquisitions. During the great recession, Jay worked as a  contract Investigations Manager for the FDIC where he performed in-depth financial investigations and expert loan reviews for both bank and regulatory violations. During this time, he traveled across the U.S. assisting in various financial industry-related matters and worked closely with Regulatory, Federal, and Government agencies on $6 billion in receiverships. Jay is a graduate of the University of Georgia Graduate School of Banking. He has also attended banking programs at Wake Forest University and received formal commercial cash flow training at the University of Alabama Birmingham, sponsored by various National Banking Institutions. Jay served as the Director of Credit Risk for a $1.8 Billion National Bank overseeing a significant distressed loan portfolio and assisting in the resolution and sell-off of virtually all its bank’s assets.
