Karine is an experienced auditor who has been with LaPorte since the start of her professional career in 2014, before its merger with Mauldin & Jenkins in 2025. Her work primarily involves conducting internal control and financial audits, reviews, and compilations across various sectors, including nonprofit organizations, the public sector, and for-profit businesses. She brings a solid understanding of auditing and financial analysis to her role, with a particular focus on compliance and risk management. Additionally, she plays an integral role in team development, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to their professional growth.

NONPROFIT
Karine performs internal control and financial audits, reviews, and compilations for clients in the nonprofit sector. She also has extensive experience conducting single audits. Karine is chair of the Society of Louisiana CPAs Not-for-Profit Committee.

REAL ESTATE
Karine has led and conducted audits for real estate clients and works closely with clients to pinpoint and address areas for improvement in financial processes. Karine also provides guidance on complex financial transactions specific to the real estate sector, helping ensure they are in compliance with regulations.
