Stephen Doolittle, CPA, is a Director in the Private Client Service / Not-For-Profit practice of Mauldin & Jenkins. Stephen started with Mauldin & Jenkins in 2021, but has spent his career in public accounting, specializing in the nonprofit sector, since 2013. As a Director, he is responsible for managing and training staff and ensuring that his audits are completed accurately and in an efficient manner as well as presenting at client board meetings. Stephen also advises organizations on internal control best practices, as well as other accounting and operational areas critical to the organization’s financial health.

Stephen has experience in conducting audits of various nonprofit organizations, including international organizations, associations, private foundations, university foundations, homeowner associations, both private and charter schools and other charitable organizations. He also has extensive experience working with U.S. Federal award recipients subject to Title 2 U.S. Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance).

Stephen is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants (GSCPA).
