Columbia, May 9, 2025 – Columbia professionals from Mauldin & Jenkins, a leading assurance, tax, and advisory firm, participated in a series of impactful projects for the United Way of the Midlands volunteer week. The impactful initiatives carried out during the week included participation in Community Gardens, Bee Box Build, and Field Day- each designed to support different parts of the local community.
Volunteers made significant contributions at the Brookland-Lakeview Empowerment Center by building garden boxes and helping with planting in the community gardens. They also demonstrated their support for sexual assault survivors by participating in the “Bee Box Build” project, where they assembled essential care kits. Furthermore, volunteers brought enthusiasm to a local elementary school’s field day, where they organized and supervised activity stations, ensuring a fun and interactive experience for the children.
Office Manager Melissa Brice stated, “Our partnership with United Way of the Midlands offers a meaningful opportunity for our team members to come together to lend their time and provide hands-on support within our local community.”
