Krystle Stell Named in Momentum’s 2022 Upward Class Five

Mauldin & Jenkins is proud to share that Krystle Stell, a Senior Manager in the Firm’s Birmingham office, was selected to participate in Upward, an early-career program for women in the Birmingham area, developed by Momentum.

Momentum is Alabama’s premier leadership organization, empowering promising women to develop leadership skills that positively impact business, culture, and politics in Alabama.

Launching its most recent session this month, the Upward program is made up of 60 early-career women who have diverse roles and represent a variety of industries. Applicants must demonstrate a high degree of career ownership, be self-motivated and capable of motivating others, appreciate diversity, show initiative, and possess strong people skills.

“Being selected for this program means a lot to me,” Stell says. “First, it means that I am part of something much larger than myself. I am a member of a group that supports and empowers women, like myself, allowing each member to grow and learn from one another. This program leverages the expertise of each member and creates a valuable network to advance women in leadership in Alabama. I look forward to the professional and personal journey that I will have throughout this program and hope to pay it forward in future years.”

The nine-month-long program consists of interactive monthly sessions that teach personal and professional leadership skills and a career development plan. Session topics include communication, goal setting, emotional intelligence, change management, career ownership, teamwork and collaboration, and leadership.
