November 1, Columbia, SC – Mauldin & Jenkins Columbia office participated in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s “Light the Night” fundraising walk. The team has spent over a month planning for this event and raising an impressive amount of money. The office split into 4 teams for some friendly competition.
Chris Wilson, Tax Manager, states: “What an amazing display of generosity and selflessness this office has shown during the Light the Night fundraiser. With your help we raised a cumulative total of $8,682.67 out of our ambitious goal of $10,000, with each team’s goal of $2,500. According to the event coordinator, that is not a feat many first time teams can match. I would like to personally thank the team leaders from each department (Moni, Marcie and Adrienne) for their help during this campaign. I would also like to personally thank every person who signed up and participated in this event. We had a few really hard hitters out there, with three people raising over $1,000 and two more reaching over $600! Thank you so much for your efforts.”
Team Results:
1) Tax Terminators – $2,956.67
2) Savvy Small Business – $2,530.00
3) Awesome Admin – $2,500.10
4) Audit Auditeers – $695.90
Congratulations to the tax team!
We also had a few prize winners:
- Moni Cordell – $50 Amazon Gift Card
- Angelena Marthers – Cooler & Ice Pack
- Brian Nicholson – Amazon Fire Stick
Check out the pictures captured at last night’s event. Here you’ll see David Splittgerber dressed as a scuba diver — You might recall from our previous post, the lead Partner on the team that raised the least amount had to dress up for the Walk. Way to be a good sport, David!
Great work Columbia!
