BRADENTON– Mauldin & Jenkins, a Top 100 assurance, tax, and advisory firm, partnered with Nate’s Honor Animal Rescue this season to create a state-of-the-art sensory path for the organization’s dog walk in conjunction with the Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance’s “Alliance Gives Back” program.
The newly developed sensory path in Lakewood Ranch is a unique addition to Nate’s Animal Rescue’s facilities and offers an enriching experience for its four-legged residents. Engineered to promote their senses of sight, touch and smell, the path is designed to encourage physical activity, mental stimulation, and enhance the overall well-being of the dogs. Employees helped bring this vision to life by planting dog-friendly plants along the path.
Jacob Kinsel, an employee who volunteered, shares the impact he feels from serving his community:
“In his book, Good Company, Arthur M. Blank writes ‘a good company makes a good neighbor.’ We try to accomplish this locally by finding ways to serve the community, whether through board service or volunteer opportunities. Volunteering with Nate’s Honor Animal Rescue was a great opportunity to serve and be a good neighbor. Our time spent giving was met with a return on investment by interacting with the animals that this organization seeks to save.”
The Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance annually coordinates “The Alliance Gives Back” program, which connects local nonprofit organizations needing assistance with local professionals who want to participate in service projects for a nonprofit of choice.
