Atlanta, July 8, 2026 – This month, professionals from Mauldin & Jenkins, a leading tax, assurance, and advisory firm, dedicated their time to serving the Atlanta community through volunteer projects with Home Repair Ministries and the Atlanta Mission Donation Center, helping to improve lives through hands-on service and support.
Volunteers partnered with Home Repair Ministries, an organization dedicated to critical home repairs for vulnerable homeowners, to assist a local resident with landscaping and yard maintenance, helping create a safer and more manageable outdoor space. Beyond the physical improvements, the team connected with the homeowner, witnessing firsthand the impact that restoring a home can have on an individual’s quality of life.
“It was a pleasure to serve with Home Repair Ministries and assist a homeowner with landscaping and yard maintenance,” said Haley Kasnic, Senior Associate and Community Service Chair. “As we finished the project, we spoke with the homeowner and saw the impact we made by helping him take care of his home. We are grateful to be part of Home Repair Ministries’ incredible mission.”
In a separate volunteer effort, 13 volunteers from Mauldin & Jenkins’ recruiting team and internship program partnered with the Atlanta Mission Donation Center. The team sorted and organized women’s clothing, carefully tagging and verifying items to ensure they met the quality standards of the organization’s thrift store. This effort directly supports Atlanta Mission’s programs and services, ensuring individuals in need have access to quality clothing while generating revenue for local support services.
“We learned how Atlanta Mission supports the homeless through resources and rehabilitation,” said Lauren Shelton, Campus Recruiter and event organizer. “We spent the morning sorting and tagging donations for their thrift store, then enjoyed lunch at Chattahoochee Food Works, where interns networked and shared their goals for the summer ahead.”
Through partnerships with local organizations, Mauldin & Jenkins continues to encourage community involvement and create opportunities for its professionals to make a lasting impact beyond the workplace.
