Macon, June 16, 2026– Professionals from Mauldin & Jenkins, a leading assurance, tax, and advisory firm, dedicated a day to support the Backpack Buddies Ministry of Forest Hills Church to help combat childhood food insecurity across Central Georgia.
During the event, 19 professionals worked alongside Backpack Buddies’ organizers to efficiently assemble and prepare 1,016 food bags for distribution to children across Macon-Bibb, Monroe, and Twiggs counties. This effort helps ensure children who rely on school meal programs have access to nutritious meals over weekends and during summer break.
“Participating in the Backpack Buddies initiative was an eye-opening and rewarding experience,” said Evan Griffin, Associate. “It was heartwarming to see our office come together to ensure that children in our surrounding school districts don’t have to worry about where their next meal is coming from over the summer.”
