Douglas Hidalgo is a Business Development Partner with Mauldin & Jenkins, focused on expanding the firm’s presence across Houston and the broader Texas market. With more than three decades of experience in public accounting and advisory services, Doug brings a relationship-driven approach rooted in trust, continuity, and long-standing community ties.

Doug represents the second generation of his family in the accounting profession. His father founded an accounting firm in Houston in 1973 and built a legacy of integrity and trust within the Houston business community. Doug has spent his career building upon that foundation, working closely with business owners, financial institutions, nonprofit organizations, and community leaders across the region.

In his current role, Doug helps advance Mauldin & Jenkins’ strategic initiatives across Texas by connecting organizations with the firm’s audit, tax, and advisory capabilities as its footprint continues to grow.

Houston is home in every sense for Doug. He is a proud graduate of the University of Houston, part of a family with three generations of University of Houston alumni, and a third-generation Houstonian. Those roots continue to shape his locally focused, long-term approach to relationships and service.
