COLUMBIA- Mauldin & Jenkins, a Top 100 Certified Public Accounting Firm, embraced the spirit of the holiday season and adopted three local families through Families Helping Families of the Midlands to give back to the community.
Employees planned and shopped for items from the families’ wish lists. Ranging from essential items to festive treats, a variety of thoughtful gifts were selected and wrapped to bring joy and warmth to these special families this December.
Each of the firm’s 14 locations supports a wide variety of community service and engagement activities throughout the year.
“Seeing the collective efforts of our team come together to bring joy to these families in need has been a heartwarming experience,” shared Melissa Brice, Office Manager. “This project reinforces the importance of giving back, not just during the holiday season, but throughout the year.”
For 28 years, Families Helping Families has provided gifts, clothing, food, and other essentials to thousands of Midlands families in need. The organization brings together families, religious groups, businesses, and community groups in the Midlands to sponsor families facing particularly daunting hardships, ensuring that all our neighbors share in the joy of the Christmas season.
