Atlanta, June 17, 2025- The summer interns from Mauldin & Jenkins, a leading assurance, tax and advisory firm in the Southeast, kicked off their summer internships serving the Atlanta community by sorting through donated clothes for the Atlanta Mission.
Volunteers worked together at the local donation center to sort, tag, and organize clothing for men, women, and children. These clothing items will be placed in a thrift store for the Atlanta Mission, the city’s largest and longest-running provider of services for homeless men, women, and children.
Campus Recruiter and event organizer, Lauren Shelton said, “We learned how Atlanta Mission supports the homeless through resources and rehabilitation. We spent the morning sorting and tagging donations for their thrift store, then enjoyed lunch at Chattahoochee Food Works where interns networked and shared what they are looking forward to in their internship”
The Atlanta Mission serves the city of Atlanta by providing essential resources such as supplying food, shelter, counseling, and life skills classes, while also supporting addiction recovery, job attainment, spiritual growth, and educational services.
