ATLANTA– This summer, interns from Mauldin & Jenkins’ Atlanta office collaborated with Atlanta Mission to sort through clothes and donations for those in need as part of the firm’s community service pledge.
The event, held at Atlanta Mission’s administrative office, aimed to support the organization’s ongoing efforts to provide essential items to underprivileged members of the community.
Interns worked diligently throughout the day, categorizing donated clothing, organizing household items, and preparing care packages. Their efforts contributed significantly to the mission’s goal of ensuring that donations are distributed efficiently to families and individuals in need.
“Volunteering with Atlanta Mission was a rewarding experience for our interns and staff,” shared Campus Recruiter Lauren Shelton. “It was a valuable opportunity to learn more about the services Atlanta Mission offers and what we can do to help our local community. I look forward to donating and volunteering with them in the future.”
Atlanta Mission, a local nonprofit organization, is the city’s largest and longest-running provider of services to homeless men, women, and children. The organization relies heavily on donations and volunteer efforts to continue its work.
The event not only provided much-needed help to Atlanta Mission but also offered the interns a valuable opportunity to connect with the community and understand the importance of service. Many interns expressed their appreciation for the chance to contribute and have already signed up for future volunteer opportunities.
