BRADENTON- Last week, professionals from Mauldin & Jenkins, a leading assurance, tax and advisory firm, participated in Project TEACH, an event hosted by the Manatee Chamber of Commerce at Rogers Elementary School in downtown Bradenton.
Project TEACH is a partnership between the Manatee Chamber of Commerce and the School District of Manatee County designed to help students explore careers and learn more about local businesses.
The event began with engaging activities for students where they were encouraged to guess the age, hobbies and professions of participating professionals from Mauldin & Jenkins, which helped to not only break the ice but also provide a glimpse into the range of careers available at the firm.
River Yang, an associate in the Firm’s Bradenton office, participated in the event at Rogers Elementary School. “It was rewarding to be a part of an event that bridges the gap between education and the workforce and helps students to explore potential paths toward their dream careers,” River shared.
A highlight of the event was the hands-on activity where students had the opportunity to design their own business cards, drawing inspiration from River’s business cards provided by Mauldin & Jenkins.
Mauldin & Jenkins continues to demonstrate its dedication to corporate social responsibility and making a positive impact in the community through initiatives such as these.
