Mauldin & Jenkins was a proud sponsor of this year’s 34th Annual Georgia Education Advancement Council (GEAC) Conference held in Young Harris, GA, at Brasstown Valley Resort. GEAC, Inc. (Georgia Education Advancement Council) is a state-wide organization, founded in 1977, for those at public, private and technical colleges and universities who work in educational advancement including the areas of alumni, development, advancement services, public relations/public affairs, and communications. EAC’s mission is to provide affordable professional development opportunities for Georgia’s higher education advancement community.
During the conference, M&J Partners Aleisa Howell, Jeff Fucito, and Jon Schultz presented a session titled “Everything You Need to Know About Fundraising and Gift Accounting” to conference attendees. The session covered the ins-and-outs of managing and administering gifts, donor intention compliance, and accounting for fundraising.
Each year, Mauldin & Jenkins hosts a client appreciation dinner together with Suntrust at the conference. This year’s dinner was held onsite at the resort.
