As the former Director-in-Charge of Client Accounting and Advisory Services, Kevin continues to expand the firm’s cloud-based accounting services and is a leader in providing outsourced controllership or CFO services to clients. As an active participant in Client Assistance Services conferences, including the Digital CPA Conference, Client Advisory Services (CAS) workshop, RSM US’s CAS/Outsource Round Table, and the Boomer Producer’s Circle, he brings forward current trends and best practices for those looking to expand their technology stack.

In addition, he has assisted clients with services such as accounting operations setup and design, agreed-upon procedures, assurance, budgeting, cash flow analyses, financial statement preparation and analyses, and grant monitoring and testing. He has provided accounting, auditing, and business consulting services to clients in a variety of industries, including energy, healthcare, professional services, nonprofit, and hospitality and entertainment.

Prior to leading Client Accounting and Advisory Services, Kevin served in our Audit and Assurance Services department for over 20 years, where he served as in charge of audit and assurance engagements in a variety of industries.

PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
As a true business advisor, Kevin works with a variety of professional services clients, including law and engineering firms and healthcare practices (including physician practices, ancillary services such as laboratories, and software companies). His focus is on offering services tailored to meet the clients’ needs, from start-ups to those of mature companies. For start-up clients, he draws on his experience to help them establish their accounting practices and processes and to consider their options for accounting technology solutions. For mature organizations, Kevin may help them transition from legacy systems to cloud-based accounting applications, and then provide the back office and outsourced controllership for the long term once the conversion is made. At the same time, Kevin recognizes that traditional outsourced accounting services, such as month-end and period-end accounting services, reconciling books, and financial statements, continue to be vital for many professional services organizations.

HOSPITALITY AND ENTERTAINMENT
A certified hospitality accountant executive, Kevin has provided accounting and outsourced controllership services for restaurants, food brokers, and film production companies, and provided professional recruiting assistance for CFOs and controllers in the hospitality industry. Additionally, his experience includes work on audits, reviews, and compilations of financial statements for restaurants, clubs, production companies, and tax credit brokers.
