Macon, June 4, 2025- Professionals from Mauldin & Jenkins, a leading assurance, tax and advisory firm in the Southeast, joined forces with the Middle Georgia Community Food Bank (MGCFB) to help combat hunger by preparing nutritious food boxes to support those in need.
Volunteers worked together to help efficiently assemble and stock food boxes. Each person was assigned a specific role, including organizing food items, filling boxes with nutritious essentials, or sealing and labeling boxes for distribution. The team packed 500 boxes, which will provide 8,292 meals to individuals and families facing food insecurity.
Small Business Specialist Samantha Cartledge, shared her remarks, “I really enjoyed the opportunity to help out in our community and to work alongside others from the office. While packing the boxes, if someone got bogged down, the person next to them would just assist them to get things moving along again. Every single person gave it their all, and it was pretty cool to see our team work together for a great cause.”
The Middle Georgia Community Food Bank serves 24 counties across Middle Georgia, offering backpack programs, food pantries, SNAP outreach, emergency shelter support, and senior services.
