Top 100 Firm Mauldin & Jenkins Names Six Professionals Partner

ATLANTA- August 31– Leading accounting and advisory firm Mauldin & Jenkins announced Thursday that six outstanding professionals have been appointed to Partner, effective September 1, 2023.

Josh Carroll, CPA, Partner (Atlanta)

Josh Carroll, CPA, is a Partner at Mauldin & Jenkins. He received his Master of Accounting and Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Georgia College and State University in 2007. Josh has focused his career on serving state and local governments. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA), the Georgia Government Finance Officers Association (GGFOA), and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants (GSCPA).

Jeff Dorris, CPA, Partner (Atlanta)

Jeff Dorris, CPA, joined Mauldin & Jenkins in 2019 as the Specialty Tax Practice Leader after spending nearly 12 years working for United Parcel Service (UPS). Jeff specializes in consulting and advisory services in all aspects of state taxation including property and sales and use tax. Jeff is a member of the Georgia Society of CPAs (GSCPA) as well as the AICPA. Jeff is a member of both the Mauldin & Jenkins’ Advisory and Tax Committees

David G. Jahosky, Partner (Bradenton)

David Jahosky is a Partner in the Governmental Advisory Services Practice for Mauldin & Jenkins. Before joining M&J, David spent 14 years with KPMG as a leader in its Government Practice and served as the lead account partner for the State of Florida. Most recently, David spent six years at Anser Advisory Services, leading its Strategy, Grants, and Compliance practice that served over 75 government clients in nine states, including Florida and Georgia.

Nick Rider, Sr., CPA, Partner (Atlanta)

Nick joined Mauldin & Jenkins in 2015 and is a Partner in the Private Client Services practice.  He serves on the GSCPA Board of Directors, Atlanta Angels Board of Directors, GA Department of Revenue Commissioner Executive Committee and is the Chairman of the GSCPA Federal and State Tax Task Force.  Nick lives in Fayetteville with his wife Heather and sons Nick Jr. and Lucas.  He loves coaching baseball and playing bass at his church.

Rick Spires, CPA, Partner (Macon)

Rick has focused his career on income tax planning and preparation for closely held businesses, with a concentration in the areas of real estate, manufacturing, and professional services. Rick received his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting in 2010 and his Master of Accountancy (Macc) in 2012 from Georgia Southern University. Rick lives in Macon, GA, with his wife, Britney. They are expecting their first child in September of 2023.

Charlotte H. Way, CPA, JD, LLM Taxation, Partner (Macon)

Charlotte serves as the Firm’s Tax Counsel and as the Tax Controversy & Resolution Practice Leader. She has 30 years of experience working with clients to resolve tax issues and disputes at the IRS and state levels. She serves as an internal tax resource to the firm’s CPAs. Charlotte received her law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law, and she earned her LLM in Taxation from New York University School of Law.
